Our craving for sweetness has a healthy side effect: When sugar is extracted from sugar cane, a large quantity of residual fibres is collected. This biomass is far too valuable to be simply burned as has largely been the case until now. Sugar cane fibres can be used to produce elegant and stylish tableware, with endless potential shapes and designs. Tableware made from sugar cane is light in weight yet very stable. It is also water-resistant, suitable for use in the microwave or oven and for hot and cold applications. In order to make the bowls sealable, we also offer bio-lamination with which we achieve a stronger grease and water barrier. Lamination expands the range of possible uses so that sugar cane can also be used for the packaging of take-away menus in our menu trays, for example. Production takes place close to the source of the raw material, thereby avoiding long transportation routes.
