Zeus and Croke Park are excited to announce a new partnership that will bring one of Ireland’s most innovative sustainable hygiene companies into the heart of one of Ireland’s most iconic sites.

The home of GAA will now be served by the SmartDose system, which uses environmentally friendly cleaning products while reducing waste and improving efficiency. Zeus and Croke Park have a shared commitment to the environment, and this deal will bring both parties closer to our sustainable goals.

SmartDose containers are simpler, safer and smarter to use, pumping out a consistent, precise amount of cleaning product every time to eliminate waste and give the user exactly what they need, when they need it, every time. With a drip-resistant spout and Spill-Tite® lid, the user is kept safe while the product is saved. The portable container also delivers 99.9% concentrate evacuation and requires no water hook-up, reducing water waste. The SmartDose system is manufactured by Diversey.

As a supplier for SURE, Zeus will also provide a range of biodegradable cleaning products made from environmentally friendly ingredients from renewable resources. The range includes solutions for all the daily cleaning needs of an operation at Croke Park’s scale, including floor cleaner, disinfectant, degreaser, washroom cleaner and surface cleaner.

Zeus is committed to sustainability and is always chasing new innovations to add to its environmentally friendly product range. As well as hygiene products, Zeus is a major player in Irish packaging, agriculture, food service and hospitality, allowing it to make a big impact on sustainability by bringing new green products straight to market across a variety of sectors. By moving to more renewable sourcing, reducing waste and unnecessary plastic and always aiming to reduce its carbon footprint, Zeus is always looking for ways to embrace sustainability. Along with supplying products like SURE, Zeus develops and manufactures environmentally friendly solutions like the Leafware line, a range of compostable food containers and packaging, including coffee cups, takeaway food boxes, paper bags, and greaseproof paper.

The adoption of the sustainable SmartDose system is the just latest step for Croke Park, already a leader in sustainability. Croke Park is one of the world’s most eco-friendly stadiums, winning an Excellence in Sustainability award at the World Stadium Congress in 2018. It has also been recognised at home with the Excellence in Environment award at the 2021 Chambers Ireland awards, and at the Green Awards, winning Sustainability Team of the Year in 2015 and the Entertainment and Tourism award in 2019.

The team at Croke Park, including Fionnuala Cullen, Ger Hanratty and David Donohue, and Noel Carter from Zeus have worked hard to build this sustainable partnership. Both Zeus and Croke Park are excited at the opportunities for sustainability that this new partnership will bring and are certain that it is just the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship.
