Zeus have secured certification from the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) for their key distribution centres in Ireland and the UK. The certification guarantees that the FSC-labelled product you purchase from Zeus will have come from a forest and supply-chain that has been managed responsibly.
Becoming FSC certified demonstrates compliance with the highest social and environmental standards on the market. Public concern about the state of the world’s forests and timber resources is increasing. Our forests give us many things like books, tissues, furniture and so much more. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) helps take care of forests, the people and the wildlife who call them home. The certification provides a credible solution to complex environmental and social issues and an effective way to gain public and consumer recognition of your responsible practices.
Zeus continue to drive improvements in product technology, reviewing pack process and the use of packaging within its customer base to encourage more sustainable and environmentally friendly ways of working. This includes cardboard and other sustainable source alternatives instead of plastic and foam packaging.
“Sustainability and Environment are high on the business agenda. I feel we each have a moral responsibility in ensuring we do the right thing and continuously innovate products and process designed to reduce negative environmental impact. Our packaging consultants specialise in innovative ways of reducing the use of packaging material, without compromising protection, presentation or the customer experience.
We are constantly reviewing and introducing new technologies that are kinder to the environment, reducing carbon footprint, reducing waste and improving productivity. We are all aware of new legislation, the EU Directive on Single Use Plastic along with the overall packaging tax liability that will impact us all in the coming years is also a real economic driver.” He adds.
