Zeus Packaging Group, the industrial and retail packaging distributor, has acquired All Purpose Packaging for £8m.

Zeus Packaging said that All Purpose, which also specialises in industrial packaging, was acquired for its "graphical location, market share and strong management".

The acquisition follows Zeus' acquisition of industrial pack firm Fillmore Packaging last year.

The management team of All Purpose have been retained, as have its 55 staff, and are working with Fillmore's 60 staff to bring the working of the two companies together.

All Purpose has one site in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, while Fillmore has facilities in Norwich, Corby and West Bromwich.

Brian O'Sullivan, chief executive of Zeus Packaging, said: "We are confident that the acquisition of All Purpose will further help in achieving our growth targets. Its products are an excellent fit with our current offering."

The deal will take Zeus' annual turnover to more that €80m (£63m), the company said.

All Purpose Packaging has been trading for 20 years and is well established in London and the South East.
